The Ashton Scholastic History of Australia by Manning Clark & Meredith Hooper, illustrated by Susanne Ferrier, is an immensely popular and very readable living history of Australia. 
 
This bundle contains the Early Modern and Modern Timeline Posters, Timeline Cards, and [NEW] Map Flags to accompany this popular text. 
 
What are Map Flags? Our new Map Flags add a whole new dimension to teaching history. Now you can add a geographical element to your history reading. Many of the Timeline Cards have a Map Flag underneath. The Map Flag can be placed on a map of Australia to build a picture of what was happening around Australia in history.
 
We have also added a new depth to the Timeline Cards. The new Timeline Card Summary has a description of each card's picture and source, so you know where the picture came from and what it means. We don't pick just random pictures for the cards, we have selected important historical artefacts and paintings. The summary gives an explanation of what they are and where they came from. We hope this new summary helps you bring history alive on the timelines with your children.

The Timeline Card/Map Flag document is formatted for A4 paper size.  I recommend printing the card sheets and laminating them. The Timeline Posters are formated for A0 poster size and A4 print at home. Full instructions for printing and using the posters are in the bundle.
 
We have done all the hard work for you when it comes to timelines and adding entries. You no longer have to pre-read, research, and work out what to put on your timelines. We have read this history spine chapter-by-chapter and created cards that cover the main persons, events, battles, and inventions.
 
Each Timeline Card measures 1.5" x 2" (4 x 5 cm) and fits nicely on our Timeline Posters. 
Each Map Flag measures 1.5" x .4" (4 x 1cm)
