Effective Date: 12 October 2026 Applicability: This policy governs the creation, disclosure, and sale of homeschool educational resources (including Shakespeare figures, Timeline Cards, and Timeline Posters) containing AI-generated imagery sold in New Zealand.

 

1. Transparency & Educational Accuracy

In compliance with the New Zealand Fair Trading Act 1986, we maintain absolute clarity regarding the nature of our educational materials.

• Mandatory Disclosure: Every digital download, printable card, or poster containing AI-generated elements will explicitly display a "Created with AI Assistance" label in the product description.

• Historical & Literary Accuracy: Because generative AI can occasionally introduce factual or historical errors (hallucinations), all text, dates, and historical depictions generated via Gemini and Grok undergo strict human verification against verified educational curricula before publication.

• Representation vs. Realism: Product descriptions will clearly state that historical figures (such as Shakespearean characters or monarchs) are creative artistic interpretations rather than literal, archive-grade historical photographs.

 

2. Platform Compliance & Commercial Rights

We operate strictly within the legal bounds of our software providers to guarantee our right to commercialise these resources.

• Google Gemini & xAI Grok Compliance: We only generate visual content using the premium/commercial tiers of Gemini and Grok that grant full commercial exploitation rights for outputted media.

• No Infringement: We proactively avoid using prompt inputs that specify the names of living artists, copyrighted modern franchises, or trademarked contemporary styles to ensure our educational resources remain completely original.

 

3. Quality Standards & "Human-in-the-Loop" Review

Under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, digital goods must be fit for purpose and of acceptable quality.

• Visual Integrity: AI-generated images are never uploaded raw. A human designer reviews every Timeline Card and Poster to fix common AI visual anomalies (such as distorted hands, illegible background text, or anatomical errors in historical figures).
